Pricing
Everything is free while MapMaker launches. No sign-up, no card.
Free during launch
Everything on MapMaker is free while it launches. Open the editor or any map on the site, change it and download it: there is nothing to pay and no account to make. The printable PDFs on the place pages and the embed code on the embeddable pages are free as well.
What the Pro badge means
In the editor's Download window, some choices are marked "Pro · free during launch": the larger PNG and JPG sizes, SVG, PDF on A4, Letter or A3, and the brand palette. They work today at no cost, like the rest. Small PNG and JPG downloads carry a small watermark; the downloads marked Pro do not.
What Pro will be
Pro is coming. MapMaker will add accounts, saving maps online, share links and customised embeds, and a paid Pro plan, and the features marked Pro may then need that plan. There are no prices and no dates yet.
No account, no card
There is no sign-up and no card to enter, so nothing can be charged. Your maps are saved in your own browser; the privacy policy explains what that means. If you have a question about pricing, get in touch.
Questions people ask
Is MapMaker free?
Yes. Every tool on the site is free during launch, including the downloads marked Pro, and there is no sign-up.
Do I need to create an account?
No. There are no accounts yet. The maps you change are saved in your own browser, under Your maps.
What does Pro mean?
Pro marks the downloads that may need a paid plan later: the larger PNG and JPG sizes, SVG, the editor's PDF and the brand palette. During launch they are free like everything else.
Will I have to pay later?
There are no prices yet. When Pro arrives, the features marked Pro may need a paid plan. MapMaker takes no payments today and does not ask for card details.
Why do some downloads have a watermark?
Small PNG and JPG downloads are the free size, and they carry a small watermark. The larger sizes, SVG and PDF are marked Pro and carry none; during launch they are free too.
