Blank map of Cameroon

The outline, free as a PNG, SVG or PDF. Label it, colour it in or drop it into a slide.

Using a blank map of Cameroon

Cameroon is a good map for quick quizzes, because 10 administrative areas can all be numbered on one worksheet. Take Outline only for the shape alone or With borders for the areas, as a PNG with a transparent background, an SVG or a PDF.

Three quick formats

  • A numbered round. Put the PNG of With borders on a page, number all 10 areas and give pupils a few minutes to name them; the list further down this page is the answer sheet.
  • Which shape is this? Show Outline only alone, before the areas, and ask what country it is. Then reveal the areas version and ask for Littoral or Adamawa.
  • A poster with one part picked out. Open the With borders SVG in a design tool and fill only Littoral, Adamawa and Centre, leaving the other areas pale, then add a heading beside it.

The political blank map of Cameroon is the With borders version, so it is the one to choose when the quiz is about areas.

Slides and design

On a slide in your own colours, the PNG leaves only the shape of Cameroon showing. Designers can open the SVG in Illustrator, Inkscape or Figma to recolour the 10 areas one by one, fade a few of them or enlarge the shape to poster size without blurring.

Adding names

A blank map has no names, by definition, and none are drawn here. Names, a title or pins need the editor: Customise this map opens the same outline there. For print choices, use the printable map of Cameroon.

How to do it in MapMaker

  1. Choose With borders for the 10 administrative areas, or Outline only for Cameroon alone.
  2. Download the PNG for a worksheet or slide, the SVG for a design tool or a PDF for A4 or Letter.
  3. Place the file in your own page and number the areas you want named.
  4. Check answers against the list further down this page.
  5. Choose Customise this map when you want names drawn on the map.

Questions people ask

Is there a political blank map of Cameroon?

Yes: it is the With borders version. It draws the lines of the 10 administrative areas and names none of them, so pupils can label each from the list further down this page.

Does the blank map show the names of the areas?

No. A blank map has no names, so the 10 areas are left for you to label. To get a copy with names, choose Customise this map, show the names in the editor and download from there.

Which file should I use in a worksheet, a slide or a design?

The PNG for a worksheet or slide, since its transparent background takes the colour behind it. The SVG for Illustrator, Inkscape or Figma. The PDF for a sheet on A4 or Letter.

Is there an answer key for a labelling quiz?

Yes. The list of the 10 areas further down this page is the key. Number the areas on your worksheet and check each answer against the list.
