Blank map of ASEAN
The outline, free as a PNG, SVG or PDF. Label it, colour it in or drop it into a slide.

Using a blank map of ASEAN
Anyone building material about the bloc ends up needing its shape: the cover of a membership report, the base of a diagram that shows who sits where, a slide that opens a talk. This page gives the 11 members as Outline only, the land without the lines between them, or With borders, with each member drawn separately. Each version comes as a PNG on a transparent background, an SVG or a PDF.
A shape under your own content
On a report cover, set the transparent PNG behind the title in your organisation's colours; the background takes the colour of the page, so there is no white box to crop. For a slide that introduces the members, place the With borders PNG on the left and list the members beside it, using the list further down this page as your checklist. A teacher preparing a model summit can put the same outline at the top of the briefing sheet each delegate receives.
In a design tool
Open the SVG in Illustrator, Inkscape or Figma and each member is its own shape. Fill the ones a project covers in a brand colour, thin the borders for a light-touch infographic, or turn the shapes into icons for a membership timeline.
Which version
Outline only reads as a single mass, so it suits a small decorative use. With borders is the political blank map of ASEAN and the right choice whenever members are told apart. The PDF on A4 or Letter is for a sheet printed as it stands; the printable map of ASEAN has the colour and black-and-white choices. For the region as a place, the blank map of Southeast Asia draws the same 11 countries.
How to do it in MapMaker
- Choose With borders to draw the 11 members apart, or Outline only for the bloc as one shape.
- Download the PNG for a slide or a report cover, or the SVG for a design tool.
- Take PDF, A4 or PDF, Letter for a copy that goes straight to the printer.
- Choose Customise this map when you want names, colours or a title, then download from the editor.

Questions people ask
Is there a political blank map of ASEAN?
Yes: the With borders version. It draws the line between each pair of the 11 members and puts no names on them, so every member is a shape of its own that you can colour or label later.
Does the blank map of ASEAN show the names of the members?
No, a blank map has no names. The 11 members are listed further down this page as a key, and Customise this map opens the outline in the editor if you want names on the map.
Is this the same outline as the blank map of Southeast Asia?
The two pages draw the same 11 countries. This page is the one for slides and documents about the organisation; the Southeast Asia page is for material about the region itself.
Which file should I use in a slide or a design?
Use the PNG for a slide or document, because its transparent background takes the colour behind it. Use the SVG for Illustrator, Inkscape or Figma, where it can be recoloured and scaled up without blurring.
