Blank map of Central America

The outline, free as a PNG, SVG or PDF. Label it, colour it in or drop it into a slide.

Using a blank map of Central America

The blank outline of Central America often goes into a small space: the corner of a slide, the header of a travel blog, a sticker, a worksheet with room left for questions. Choose With borders for the seven countries or Outline only for the land as one piece, then the file: a PNG on a transparent background, an SVG or a PDF.

In a document or a header

Paste the PNG at the top of a word-processor page and set a travel itinerary or a short report beneath it; the transparent background lets a tinted page show through. A heading and notes can sit behind or above the map, because nothing is drawn around the shapes. The same file works as a cover image or a small map beside a day-by-day plan, and it needs no editing first. The list further down this page gives the spelling of all seven countries.

In a design

The SVG opens in Illustrator, Inkscape or Figma with each country as its own shape. A designer can give the seven a single brand colour with white borders for a travel agency header, fill one country for a campaign graphic, or reduce the outline to a line for a stamp. Outline only is the silhouette for icons and logo sketches. The SVG scales to a poster or shrinks to a favicon-sized mark without losing its edges.

Taking the right version

Questions people ask

Is there a political blank map of Central America?

Yes. With borders draws all seven countries as separate shapes with no names, so you can label them for a quiz, fill them for a slide or restyle them in a design tool.

Does the blank map show the names of the countries?

No, a blank map has no names. The list further down this page gives all seven, and Customise this map opens the outline in the editor if you want names shown on the map.

Can I open the SVG in Illustrator, Inkscape or Figma?

Yes. In the With borders SVG each of the seven countries is its own shape, so you can recolour or delete them in a design tool. For a quick drop onto a slide, the PNG is easier.
